Kasoa Police District warns wood sellers of criminal acts

Kasoa (C/R), Aug. 13, GNA – Kasoa Police District Command on Wednesday warned wood sellers in Kasoa against attacking police personnel during the enforcement of law and order in Kasoa. “Anytime the police move in to the high tension area of Kasoa where sawn wood is sold, it behooves of the police to arm themselves because they are threatened by hooligan wood sellers and by some rowdy wood loaders”

A statement signed by DSP Jordan Quaye, Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Kasoa District said.

It added that any known criminal or suspect, who is on the wanted list of the police believed to be hiding in the high tension area, would definitely be arrested by force within the precincts of the law. The statement, therefore, asked the leadership of the wood sellers to report a suspect believed to be among them, who destroyed a Golf car with registration number GR 8541 “A” used in a robbery operation. It warned that the leadership could be taken to court if they harboured the criminal and gave them 48 hours to produce the suspect. 13 Aug. 09
