A key member of the Dr Botchwey campaign team has declared that with or without Rawlings in the Atta Mills camp, Dr Kwesi Botchwey will win the NDC flagberership hands down. He was reacting to the former President’s recent utterances and decision to campaign for Mills, though the party’s constitution debars him from doing that.
“Ex-President Rawlings has the fundamental right to campaign for Mills but we are least perturbed or moved. We do not mind at all the new role of Rawlings in Mills last minute campaign effort because we are sure of one thing, total victory at the congress”, Mr Gizo said.
He noted that Botchwey’s campaign message has gone down well with all delegates. Mr Gizo, a former Tourism Minister in the NDC government however pleaded for decorum in the language of people campaigning for both aspirants.
He urged all supporters of Botchwey to be steadfast in the face of all sorts of provocation and remain resolved to free the NDC from its dictatorial claws to a more democratic and open party. Credit: Daily Guide
