A 37-year-old woman at Effiduase in the Ashanti region has been sprayed with acid by her husband on suspicion of cheating.
Accra FM’s Ashanti regional correspondent, Prince K Yeboah, reported that the woman, Ernestina Asare, had, during an argument with her husband on Monday January 11, threatened to divorce him.
According to the reporter, relations between the couple became strained as Yaw grew suspicious of his wife. On Thursday January 14, however, Boadu spotted a man drive a Toyota Corolla unto the couple’s compound to visit and have a chat with his wife.
Immediately Ernestina returned to the room after the conversation, Boadu followed up, pulled out a container full of acid from under the couple’s bed and poured it on his wife’s face.
She is on admission at the Effiduase Government Hospital.
The police have mounted a search for Boadu.
