Japanese delegation to inspect projects for yen loan

President John Mahama has revealed that a Japanese delegation is expected in the country later this month to assess the viability of Ghana’s first proposed project under the newly revived yen loan program by the Japanese government.

The Japanese government led by Prime Minister Shenzo Abbey promised to reactivate the yen loan program during the TICAD 5 conference in Yokohama Japan early this year.

President Mahama has earmarked the Adomi Bridge for reconstruction with the loan facility when activated.

Addressing a delegation from the Japanese African Parliamentary Membership league at the Flagstaff House on Friday, the President stated that Ghana is ready to comply with the necessary regulations in order to get the facility underway.
