Jaman students in Cape Vars donate books of SS schools

Drobo (B/A), Aug 23, GNA – The Cape Coast University branch of Jaman Students Union has completed a three-day outreach programme in five senior secondary schools in Jaman South and Jaman North districts. The schools are Drobo Secondary School, Our Lady of Providence Girls Secondary School at Kwasi Bourkrom, Sumaman Secondary School, Sampa Secondary School and Goka Secondary Technical School. The students donated books worth five million cedis to the schools and advised the students to study for higher laurels in education.

Mr Anthony Ansah, President of the Union, cautioned the students against smoking, alcoholism, casual sex and other anti-social practices. “No school is an island and it does not matter the academic or historic background of a serious student. It is determination, faithfulness and perseverance that can carry you through”. The headmasters of the schools commended the branch union and the initiative and called for the continuity of such interactions.
