IRS ladies club assist Kumasi Children’s Home

Kumasi, Dec 19, GNA – The Ashanti Region branch of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Ladies Club on Friday presented food items valued at 1.5 million cedis to the Kumasi Children’s Home.

The items were made up of 10 crates of eggs, four cartons of fruit drink, one bag each of rice and sugar, one carton milk and a large quantity of fruits, sweets and biscuits.

Making the presentation Madam Barbara Yawson, Ashanti Regional President of the club, said apart from periodic donations that would be made by the club to the Home, the club would pay regular visits to the Home.

“It is already part of our plan to assist in efforts at rehabilitating one of the blocks housing the children by next year,” she said.

Miss Victoria Asugnya, Supervisor of the Home, who received the items, thanked the club for the donation appealed to individuals, organisations and philanthropists to adopt children Homes. 19 Dec 03
