Invest in children’s education

Asaso (E/R), Aug. 28, GNA – A traditional ruler at Asaso in the Asamankese Traditional Area of the Eastern Region, on Sunday exhorted parents to regard their children’s education as a worthwhile investment. Nana Obutu Frimpong who was interacting with teachers and a cross-section of parents of the basic school at Asaso, noted that such investment should be consistent to yield profit. According to the chief, good investment yielded returns; hence the need to inculcate in children good manners adding, parents should make efforts to supplement school training at home. He also urged them to provide their children with the needed educational materials to help make the investment worthwhile. He commended the teachers and parents for their support, which contributed to the enhancement in academic performance and discipline at the school.

Nana Obutu Frimpong stressed that education brings progress and national development and appealed to the West Akim Municipal Assembly to assist the only school in the town with infrastructure and also asked the Municipal Education Directorate to assist the school with teaching aids.
