Information Minister Under Attack

Sack Zita, She’s A Poor Info Manager!- Says Lion E-mail

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, popularly known as Lion, has called on the President to reshuffle the information Minister Zita Okaikoi. According to Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Miss Okaikoi lacks the requisite competence to handle the government information machinery. The NDC MP told Oman FM’s Fiifi Boafo that the way the Minister carries out her duties make it obvious for even kids to know that she is incompetent for the job.

Hon. Laryea mentioned NDC stalwarts like Spio Garbra and John Mahama who have managed the same ministry under NDC and said that it is obvious Zita cannot fit into their shoes. The MP backed his point, questioning the minister’s political experience and information management capabilities.

Hon. Laryea is of the view that government has lost the media war and suggested more a competent person like Ofosu Ampofo or Spio Garbrah to take over the position.

Nii Laryea said that even the deputies of the Miss Okaikoi are more competent than her and suggested that the best portfolio for her is to be deputy in order to understudy more experienced hands.

He strongly disagreed with the suggestion that she delegate job to her deputies. Meanwhile, another NDC MP has described the information ministers as Tully Tubbies.
