Immigration Officer dies in accident

Ada, Jan 05, GNA – An employee of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) based at the Ghana-Togo border at Aflao died when the salon car he was driving from Aflao to Accra last Thursday got involved in an accident near Ada Junction.

The late Emmanuel Tetteh, 28, died soon on arrival at the Dangme East District Hospital.

Three others who were on the vehicle with him have been treated and discharged.

A source close to the Ada Police told the GNA that Tetteh lost control of the car that somersaulted a number of times. Miss Elizabeth Baffoe, Comptroller of Immigration in charge of Aflao, confirmed the death.
