I’m not in politics for riches – Nduom

2016 Flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has observed that politics cannot make him rich. According to him, his engagement in politics is purely one born out of a desire to serve Ghana.

“Politics cannot make one pesewa for me,” he said in an interview on Tuesday, August 22. He is of the view that engagement in political activities is a way of “public service” for the nation.

For him, the craving for political positions by individuals who do not have a solid means of making a living and want to rely on politics can “get you hungry”.

“You can get hungry [and] I don’t want to be hungry, desperate person…That [politics] is something that you do when you’ve accomplished something,” he added.

For the business consultant, his objective was to “take care of business first” before using his achievement to contribute positively to society.

The Chairman of Groupe Nduom, with over 10 subsidiaries in Africa and the Americas, revealed this in an interview on Joy FM.
