I’ll not descend into the gutter with Mama Pat – Jumah

One of the aspiring Parliamentary Candidates for the Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has charged his fellow aspirants to stop hurling insults at each other and conduct a clean campaign.

Maxwell Kofi Jumah says if they (NPP) have any weapon at all, it should be directed at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and not fellow members of the NPP.

“We need these weapons in the NPP so that we can launch them at the NDC and not within the NPP,” he charged.

The former MP for the same Constituency was reacting to an allegation by his successor, Madam Patricia Appiagyei aka Mama Pat that he (Kofi Jumah) had hired university students to attack her personality.

Kofi Ghana as he is affectionately called explained on Atinka AM Drive hosted by Kwame Adinkra that, he would “not descend into the gutters with her but l will rather hold my weapon and use it on the NDC”.

“If we start firing weapons at each other, we shall be weak by the time we get to 2016,” he added.

Reacting to the accusations by Madam Appiagyei that, he (Mr. Jumah) had hired some university students to attack her personality, he said he could not control what people say on air.

According to him, the people being referred to are not known to him and that it is strange to link them to him simply because they may be campaigning for him.

The two personalities are expected to battle it out in the NPP’s primary at the Asokwa constituency, where Mr Jumah was defeated by his arch-rival, Madam Patricia Agei in the last primary.
