I’d be a better president than Mahama – Minority Leader

Minority Leader in Parliament Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu says he would have done better than incumbent John Dramani Mahama as a president given the way the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole/Bamboi Constituency has managed the country’s economy.

The Suame Constituency MP analogized that: “My performance in parliament is 100% better than that of John Mahama during his parliamentary days.”

Mr Mensah-Bonsu made these claims in an interview on Kumasi-based Fox FM on Saturday, May 9.

He further compared the president with his party’s leader, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, saying the former MP Abuakwa South MP was several times better than President Mahama while he was MP.

Both President Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo left Parliament in 2008 after having served as legislators 16 years apiece.

“He [John Mahama] is my friend and I know what he can and cannot do.” But asked whether he may be considering the highest position of the land, the Minority Leader quipped.

“Which policeman wouldn’t want to become IGP?”
