ICB Staff demonstrate over salary adjustment

Workers of the International Commercial Bank in Accra on Friday demonstrated against their management over salary concerns.

The workers accused management of cheating them, as far as salary adjustments are concerned.

According to a senior staff of the bank, an approved 80% increment in salary, which is meant to affect all staff of the bank across the world, is not being implemented as it should.

According to him, management is giving the Ghanaian staff only 25 percent raise instead of the approved 80 percent.

The senior staff, who spoke to StarrFMonline.com on condition of anonymity says management has also informed them that there will not be any more salary adjustments until 2017, regardless of any changes in inflation.

The demonstrating staff, who presented a statement to the Management of the Ghana branch of the bank on Friday August 8, said they will quit if nothing is done about the concerns.

According to them, their Nigerian colleagues have already started receiving the 80% increment.
