I will win Obuasi West seat; I have never been beaten before – Ackon

The Parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who also doubles as the Ashanti regional minister, John Alexander Ackon has indicated his readiness to capture the Obuasi West seat for the NDC.

This according to him is because his capabilities makes him the best person for the Obuasi West seat.

The Ashanti Regional Minister has expressed optimism of capturing power from the incumbent Member of Parliament,Kwaku Kwarteng.

According to him, though electorates in the area vote on political lines, they will consider his personality when they go to the polls.

Speaking on Kapital radio’s Constituency Focus, Tuesday, he said “if you know me very well and you know the Obuasi terrain, I have not been beaten by a candidate. I have been beaten by a political party particularly for those who vote for a particular line. But for my capability and ability, I am always on top.

And people have now seen that I have even gone ahead and by God’s grace through the president to be the regional minister and through that, a lot has been done in Obuasi which makes me a better candidate”.

The Obuasi West seat is currently in the hands of NPP’s Kwaku Kwarteng who the Ashanti Regional Minister will be seeking to snatch from.
