I will form NPP’s next gov’t – Nimoh

Member of Parliament for Mampong Constituency Francis Addai-Nimoh says his third position on the ballot papers for New Patriotic Party’s Special Electoral College on August 31, 2014 is a sign that he will be the third leader of the party to rule Ghana.

A balloting exercise for positions on the ballot sheets was conducted on Tuesday, August 5, putting Mr Nimoh behind Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku and Stephen Asamoah Boateng in that order.

Remarking on his position on TV3’s News @10 on Tuesday, Mr Nimo, who is in the Upper East Region as part of his campaign, said Number 3 represents the initials of the party, NPP.

Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia formed the first government of our tradition, he mentioned, John Agyekum Kufuor formed the second government of our tradition from 2001 to 2009, he continued.

“Come 2016, Addai Nimo will form the third government of this great tradition.”

Seven aspirants including Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten will contest the special congress to get five candidates to contest the presidential primary scheduled for Saturday, October 18.

The other contestants are Joe Ghartey and Kofi Osei Ameyaw.
