I don’t like kenkey and banku – JB’s murder suspect complains

Daniel Asiedu, the suspect who allegedly murdered the Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North Constituency has complained to a magistrate court about the constant feeding of kenkey and banku, which he is allergic to.

According to Daniel Asiedu, he does not like food made from corn or maize but the BNI officials consistently feeds him with such foods.

Daniel Asiedu also told the court presided over by, His Worship Stephen Owusu that, he has been confined in a Box-like cell and is only allowed to come out when he wants to use the washroom or take his bath.

He also alleged that the security officers do not allow him to engage other inmates and has complained several times without any positive response.

The state prosecutors asked the court to adjourn the case since investigations are still ongoing.

The court ordered the BNI to take good care of him (Daniel Asiedu) and adjourned the case to April 19.

Daniel Asiedu stabbed the MP to death at his Shiashie residence Tuesday dawn, February 9, 2016 when he had gone to rob him.
