The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the 2016 Weija-Gbawe constituency Obuobia Darko lost to Tina Naa Ayele Mensah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) despite prophesy that says she will win.
Before the election she was seen at a church where the pastor prayed that she will win the parliamentary elections.
This unfortunate prophesy did not come through as she lost the polls by 25,087 as against 34,216 votes.
