House vote against proposed amendment on Immigration Bill

A proposed amendment moved by Mr Agyare Koi-Larbi, NPP-Akropong, on the Immigration Bill attracted a heated debate in Parliament on Tuesday. Mr Koi-Larbi proposed that a new sub-clause be added to Clause 36 of the Bill, which was being taken through the consideration stage. The said Clause gives discretionary powers to the Minister of the Interior to order the deportation of persons, who have questionable character.
