Tepa (Ash), March 29, GNA – About 70 health extension workers have began a six-month training course under the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) at Tepa in the Ahafo-Ano North District. The trainees are to be taken through some basic health delivery practices for two months in the classroom to be followed by four months practical work after which they would be posted to health facilities in the district.

Mrs Elizabeth Danso Adentwi, The District Director of Health Service, said after the course those who would perform creditably might have the opportunity to be given further training to qualify as professional health workers.
