Head teachers asked to prevent illegal collection of salaries

Begoro, Aug. 6, GNA- Mr Kwadwo Osei-Owusu, Director of Education for Fanteakwa District, on Wednesday advised head teachers to desist from condoning with teachers to take salaries they did not work for. He cautioned that any school authority caught maintaining names of teachers on study leave without pay would be sanctioned. Mr Osei-Owusu, who was addressing a meeting of head teachers at Begoro on Wednesday, also urged head teachers to report teachers who vacate their post due to delay in the payment of their salaries to the appropriate quarters.

He asked head teachers to make adequate provision for school-based in-service training in their share of the capitation grant to facilitate its implementation.
