Gun shots halt work at Jomoro District Administration

Work at the Jomoro District Administration was temporarily halted on Tuesday morning when three gun shots rang out, compelling staff and visitors to take cover.

Not long after, four hunters with short guns and dogs were seen chasing a grass cutter to the premises of the Administration Block.

Mr Raymond Yankson, an Executive Officer, told the GNA after the incident that a security man was sent to arrest the hunters but he did not succeed.

Mr Yankson expressed concern about the hunters’ behavior and said stray pellets could have caused casualties.

He appealed to the security agencies in the district to take action to avoid its reoccurrence.**
