GRIDCo would soon rectify power interruptions- PRO

Accra, June 3, GNA – Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) on Wednesday explained that the loss of electricity supply being experienced countrywide, since Tuesday (June 2), was due to the difficulties being experienced with transmission equipment at the Tema Switchyard and the loss of one transmission line to Accra. A release signed by Mr Albert Kwesi Quainoo, Head of Public Relations, GRIDCo, said the company’s engineers were working around the clock to restore service to the Electricity Company of Ghana, within the shortest possible time. It expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers across the country.
