Greater Accra Minister meets regional heads of department

Julius Debrah, Greater Accra Regional Minister, on Wednesday reiterated his commitment to support efforts of regional heads of departments to develop the region.

He said regional ministers were representatives of the President who tapped the expertise and skills of civil and public servants to advance government’s agenda and that it was important for departmental heads to adopt innovative ways in doing things.

Mr Debrah made the remarks when he met with departmental heads in the Greater Accra Region to discuss developmental issues affecting the region.

He encouraged the heads to promote the President’s agenda which was “Advancing the Better Ghana Agenda” to develop the region and the country as whole.

Mr Debrah also asked the heads to follow the official channel of communication by channeling their grievances through the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to the other ministries and the President.

He said relationships were built over the years but could be destroyed within a twinkle of an eye, adding; “I don’t want to know anything about anybody but I want us to work together to develop the region and the country at large.”

The minister also inaugurated the Greater Accra Regional Local Government Service Staff at a ceremony organized by the RCC and appealed to the staff to work effectively within the laws of the Local Government Service.
