Gov’t is delivering on election promises – Minister

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing Mr. Tony Kofi Osei says government is on course and delivering on its election promises made to Ghanaians.

He said on-going road construction works, provision of educational structures, supply of safe drinking water, building of health facilities and improvement of the air and sea ports, were evidence of this.

Speaking at a meeting held by the Oforikrom Constituency Youth Wing of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi, Mr Osei called on everybody to be patient, show good understanding, and stand solidly behind the government as it worked with zeal to bring socio-economic progress.

The party’s youth had met to plan ways to strengthen their role in broadening the NDC’s support base, of the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Mr Osei encouraged them to tell the success story of the Mahama Administration, to aid the people to appreciate efforts being made to make their lives better.

He spoke of their determination to continue to work with passion to sustain the economy on the path of growth through aggressive infrastructure development.

Mr Brogya Genfi, Ashanti Regional NDC Youth Organizer, asked the party supporters to work with commitment to retain the party in power in year 2016.

“I expect all of us to work hard in our various capacities for victory,” he added.
