Government Donates 18 Cars To GTA

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has receive 18 cars from Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, to enhance its operational activities.

The vehicles, acquired by the Ministry, was to be distributed to the regional offices of the Authority to enhance monitoring, evaluation and collection of tourism levies.

Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, who donated the vehicles urged managers of the vehicles to use them to boost tourism activities and enhance revenue generation.

Mr Charles Osei Bonsu executive director of Ghana Tourism Boad, commended the Minister for her leadership and direction to develop the tourism sector of the economy, stating that, the 18 cars donated will be use to generate internal funds for his outfit.

He said it was the dream of the Authority to acquire more vehicles since it had broadened its operations to develop the tourism and creative arts industries.
