Government congratulates fathers

Accra, June 21, GNA – Government on Sunday congratulated all fathers on the occasion of the world’s Fathers Day and reiterated its commitment to building a better Ghana.

A Fathers Day message signed in Accra by Mrs Zita Okaikoi, Information Minister, noted that fathers as heads of the families have a duty to inculcate time-tested values in their children. “Values that will promote decency, transparency, integrity and selflessness in our citizenry,” the message said.

It pledged that government would continue to promote such values as it runs an open, transparent and accountable government. The message noted that openness, transparency and accountability had been at the centre of government actions and decisions and promised this would continue. 21 June 09
