Good Friday signifies peace-Reverend Minister

Takoradi, April 22, GNA – Very Reverend Emmanuel Aryee, Superintendent Minister of the Takoradi Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana, on Friday said, the message of Good Friday is fellow feeling, empathy and love for one another. He was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during an Easter Road Safety Campaign, undertaken by the circuit at the Takoradi and Accra Lorry Stations.

The Very Reverend said the period is a time for people to show sympathy, love and concern for others. He said the human being is God’s greatest creation and as such, God has placed high premium and value on humans. Very Reverend Aryee said, if people recognize this, they would not injure or hurt others and would be willing to sacrifice for human welfare.

At the 2011 Easter Convention of the Pentecost International Worship Centre at Takoradi, Elder Joseph Hagan, the Bible Study Coordinator, said the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Good Friday brought peace, salvation and new life for mankind. He said Jesus died for mankind as part of his redemptive mission and to enable them to have peace with God. Elder Hagan said people should use the day to renew their relationship with Jesus.
