GNCC donates to Children’s Ward of Ho Hospital

Ho, Jan. 28, GNA – The Volta Regional Branch of the Ghana National Commission on Children (GNCC)on Friday donated items worth 1.4 million cedis to the children’s ward of the Ho Municipal Hospital. The items included bed and court sheets, toys, weighing scales, plastic tables and chairs.

The rest were, fruit drinks with biscuits, bags of rice, packs of detergents and Video Compact Disc (VCD) player.

Presenting the items, the Acting Regional Coordinator of the Commission, Mr Edwin Gamadeku, said the donations, which were from the Children’s Department of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs was to demonstrate the Commission’s commitment to help reduce the pains of children on admission and ease the workload of nurses in the ward. The Sister in Charge of the ward, Ms Florence Attah, who received the items, expressed the ward’s appreciation and appealed to the Commission to visit the Hospital regularly with gifts to ease their burdens.
