GNA Man Wins Reuters Fellowship Award

Accra, Sept.5, GNA – Mr Samuel Osei-Frempong, a Senior Reporter of the Ghana News Agency, has won the prestigious Reuters Fellowship Award. He has been offered a place at Green College, Oxford University, United Kingdom to do a six month-long research programme.

Mr Osei-Frempong would be joining eleven other Journalists from around the World for the course, which is meant for talented and experienced mid-career Journalists.

Reuters, the leading wire service group in the World, commissions a group of experienced Journalists and Oxford University Professors to assess applications submitted by an average of 2,000 applicants every year to select the best 12.

Mr Osei-Frempong is the fourth Ghanaian to have won the Fellowship.

The other fellows from Ghana are: Mr B.A Apenteng, Managing Director, Graphic Group of Companies, Mr A. A. Blay, Ghana News Agency and Mr Frank Agyekum, formerly of the Ghana News Agency and currently the Special Assistant to the Minister of Information.
