GJA Executives to be inducted

Accra, Aug. 14, GNA — The Reverend Dr Fred Deegbe, Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana, would officiate at first Annual Thanksgiving Service of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) at the forecourt of the Ghana International Press Centre on Sunday, August 27. The Thanksgiving Service, which would be held between 1300 hours and 1700 hours, is to induct the new National Executives, commemorate the 57th Anniversary of the founding of the Association in August 1949 and acknowledge God’s blessings on the Association and the growth of the media in Ghana.

It is also to pray for God’s guidance and protection of the GJA Executive and media practitioners in the ensuing year, Mr Bright Blewu said in a statement issued in Accra on Monday. The statement said members of GJA, Management of media houses, partners of GJA, representatives of political parties, government officials and religious leaders were all invited.
