Accra, Sept. 27, GNA – A 74-Page book titled “Vision at the personal level,” aimed at giving the needed guidelines to help reduce under performance and to challenge all to strive for excellence, was launched in Accra on Sunday.
The five chapter book, seeks to equip all to lift up their performance and to champion the course of excellence, by breaking boundaries and taking territories of their potential. Dr. George Stezer Ofori-Atta, presiding Archbishop of the International Council for Clergy, who launched the book, said the right application of knowledge would help showcase the ability of the individual.
He said some individuals do not know how to arrange information to develop and improve on their living standards. “The reading habits of Ghanaians are not encouraging, and If you want to hide something from a Ghanaian, hide it in a book”, Dr. Ofori- Atta noted.
He said the information contained in the book would catapult anyone who reads it, to a higher level in his or her endeavours. Reverend Mark Armah, the author of the book said, a visionless life was a failed life, adding that, it was despicable, misdirected and has no focus and therefore anyone who finds him or herself in such a lifestyle, was assured of nothingness and meaningless life. He noted that the youth of this generation do not follow their passion and talent in profession but look for professions that are lucrative, making them not to perform.
He observed that before anyone can impact positively on the nation, the individual needs to improve on his ability and potential first, as the saying goes “Charity begins at home”. Rev Armah said many people truly do not understand their very essence in life and the potential capacity endowed in them, “but this book would equip them elementarily for a smooth sail of their vision campaign”.
He said the book “Vision at the personal level” would address some of the common problem affecting the African mindsets. The author explained that the youth of today are behaving the way they do, just because they were misinformed and misdirected on so many things that happen around them. Mr. Samuel Quansah, chairman for the event, said the book was a life transforming one and needs to be red by all. He observed that awareness on reading and transfer of knowledge should be encouraged. Mr Quansah said the youth of the country must read to improve on their knowledge, vision and purpose in life. The first copy of the book was sold for GHc 500. 27 Sept. 10
