Sogakope, Feb. 10, GNA – Pastor Mathew Gbeku of the Church of Pentecost, at the weekend asked Ghanaians to seek God’s support in their efforts and apply the outcomes of those efforts towards the general good. He was preaching the sermon at a non-denominational thanksgiving service for peaceful elections at Sogakope under the theme: “Uniting Ghana and South-Tongu through Christ”. He admonished the government against seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs, but to pull all people together and give glory to God.
Pastor Gbeku asked the new administration to focus on the weak, use the resources available to it for the benefit of all, and pursue peace in all situations.
Mr Korbla Woyome, MP for the area asked the people to live above their political differences to ensure rapid development in the constituency and the country. Mr Woyome also reminded the local business community to pay taxes, levies and rates due to the District Assembly towards the orderly development of the district. He exhorted the citizenry to help ensure that funds for development were appropriately expended.
Dr Benard Glover, a businessman said all resources ought to be consolidated for the country’s development.
