Ghanaians arrested in Equatorial Guinea for illegal entry

Nine Ghanaians have been arrested in Equatorial Guinea for entering the country illegally.

These Ghanaians were arrested by officers of the Immigration Service and are currently in jail. Speaking to XYZ NEWS, Mr. James Kweku Yebbi, a Ghanaian living in Equatorial Guinea confirmed that there has been an increase in the number of Ghanaians entering the island illegally.

Mr. Yebbi also disclosed all efforts to contact the families of the arrested nine for bail money have reached a dead end.

He is therefore appealing to the Ghanaian Embassy in country to assist.
