Ghanaian In Ottawa Passes Away

Ernest Kofi Adapoe, a Ghanaian living in Ottawa, pass away on October 19, 2005 at the age of 53. Kofi attended Swedru Secondary School in the Central Region of Ghana. He completed his MBA at McGill University in Montreal in the early 80’s. After his MBA, he went to Zimbabwe to teach at the time of Independence. Kofi came back to Canada in ’85 and worked in various government departments. In 1997, he worked for the UNDP in Namibia and returned to Canada in 2000. At the time of his death, he was a Financial Analyst with the Department of National Defence in Ottawa. Kofi is survived by his two children – Benjamin and William Adapoe.

The obituary and final funeral rites will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 in Ottawa. Burial and funeral arrangements are as follows:

– Body will be at Kelly Funeral Home (3000 Woodroffe Avenue) in Barrhaven for viewing at 8:00 a.m.

– Burial at Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Road) at 12 noon.
