Ghanaian health professionals in America donate to hospital

Koforidua, March 09, GNA – The Ghana Health Professionals Association of North America (GHANA), on Wednesday presented some items to the Koforidua Regional Hospital at Koforidua. The items worth 600 dollars included equipment used to test blood sugar level in diabetic patients.

Dr (Mrs) Joyce Koram, Treasurer of the association made up of Ghanaian health workers based in the United States presented the items on behalf of the Association.

She said the presentation was the second the association had made to the Hospital.

Dr Koram said the items were purchased through contributions made by the 15-member association established to “give back to Ghana” what they had benefited.

She said they were prepared to offer free medical service at health institutions in the country during their visit to the country and support public hospitals with equipment.

Dr Obeng Apori, Medical Superintendent in-charge of the hospital, expressed appreciation to the association that collaborated with the hospital on their needs before presenting equipment to them.
