Ghanaian Defender Godfried Frimpong to Leave Moreirense at End of June

Ghanaian left-back Godfried Frimpong will depart Portuguese side Moreirense at the end of June after four years with the club.

The 25-year-old will leave as a free agent following the expiration of his contract.

Frimpong, known for his pace and consistent performances on the flank, made 108 appearances for Moreirense during his time at the club, scoring 2 goals and providing 12 assists.

He joined Moreirense in 2021 and quickly established himself as a key player, helping the team secure promotion back to the Primeira Liga in the 2022/2023 season.

Frimpong’s next destination remains unconfirmed, but the defender is expected to attract interest from clubs in Europe and beyond given his experience in one of Portugal’s top leagues.

He is also eligible to represent Ghana at the international level, although he has yet to earn a senior cap for the Black Stars.
