Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce in Chicago Feeds Homeless

The Ghana USA Chamber of Commerce will come to the aid of Women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. On July 17, 2004, we will feed the homeless an authentic Ghanaian meal, consisting of -Jolof Rice, beans, fried plantain, and chicken.

The Chamber has collaborated with the Ghana Nurses Association, which will conduct a free health screening at the shelter.

South West Women Working Together located at 6800 South Western is the hosting agency and the owner of the shelter. SWWT has requested that we share Ghanaian rites of passages with the residents of the shelter. The explanation of this sacred traditional ceremony will be explained and demonstrated by the Ghana Women of Prestige; slong with one of our local chiefs, Kwame Ampofo, of GUSACC

This event promises to be rewarding for all participating, both those who are volunteering and those who are receiving.

GUSACC connects the dots, building bridges sharing, loving, giving, and building relationships in the USA. The event will be held from 10am-2pm,
