Ghana needs visionary leaders – Tema Manste

Nii Adjei Kraku II, Tema Manste, has challenged the Ghanaian youth to brainstorm on the kind of leadership that would maximize the use of indigenous resources for national development and still remain competitive on the global stage.

He said “the years ahead would not be kind to visionless and timid leaders but would create the platform for those who have gained faith, knowledge and mastery over their circumstances to either build on good foundations or fix what is broken.”

Nii Kraku, who was speaking to members of Dreamers Leadership Club Foundation (DLCF) at Sakomono, Tema, over the weekend, said the tragedies of the past and the hardships of the present should rather encourage the youth to prepare for the national developmental task ahead.

He pledged his support to the Christian non-profit organization which aims at nurturing the leadership potential of young people to contribute positively to national development.

Mrs. Patience Akyianu, Managing Director, Barclays Bank Ghana, said as leaders of the future, their vision would be realized when they set goals and constantly monitor their progress.

“Goals need to be operational, specific and measurable. That is the only way you can be sure you are achieving what you set out to achieve. Having a mission, vision and setting goals to enable you achieve them are fundamental to succeeding as a leader. You can never be a successful leader without this.”

Mrs. Audrey Abaka, Founder of the Organisation, said series of leadership training workshops have been organised for members who would become peer coaches.
