Ghana missing in best English speaking countries in Africa

Ghana is conspicuously missing in the first three best in English speaking countries in Africa according to a survey conducted by World Linguistic Society.

Uganda has been named the best English Speaking country in Africa.English is Uganda’s official language and the language of instruction in schools and institutions in the country. Children start studying the language as early as pre-primary school.

Recently, the Government instructed schools to teach in vernacular in the lower primary, but still maintained English as a subject in the children’s curriculum.
