Ghana High Commission in UK facilitates free medical screening

Accra, May 13, GNA – The charity organisation, Medecins du Monde and Afrikids, is offering free health care services to members of the Ghanaian community in the UK, the Ghana High Commission announced on Tuesday.

The charity, whose work is facilitated by the High Commission, would set up a clinic at Praxis, Pott Street, London E2 OEF. No appointment is necessary to see the medics.

The High Commission said in the statement received by the GNA in Accra issued by Mr. Martin Quansah, Minister, Consular Affairs that the Clinic would work from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There would be no admission after 4.30 p.m.

“The charity wishes to let it be known that at every session there will be a doctor, a nurse and two support staff available to provide information, advice and practical assistance on how to access mainstream health service,” the statement said.
