Ghana has lost God’s favour – Prophet Bempah

Prophet Daniel Owusu-Bempah, the General Overseer of the Glory Prayer Ministry, has said the current economic and other national challenges were indications that the country had lost the favour of God.

He emphasized that until all Ghanaians, irrespective of their political and religious inclinations, came together, earnestly desired and sought the favour of God, which had waned in contemporary society, efforts in addressing the power crisis, economic downturn and high unemployment rate would be in vain.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Techiman on Monday, the renowned Prophet of God pointed out that corruption, greed and selfishness had taken over the godly fear which characterised the Ghanaian society.

He said a serious national intercessory prayer was required for God to intervene for divine direction in finding lasting solutions to the economic and other challenges facing the country.

Prophet Bempah observed that though parts of biblical prophesies of economic hardships, disrespect for authority, incurable diseases, among others, which were associated with the end times had been fulfilled, if Ghanaians prayed earnestly “God would be merciful to His children”.

He lamented about the widespread acts of immorality, indecent dressing, alcoholism and drug abuse, as well as illicit sexual practices, especially among the youth.

Prophet Bempah observed that if the Church failed to take the responsibility to mould the youth in a spiritual and more responsible manner, the situation would worsen in generations to come.

He pointed out that the “blame game syndrome” would do the country no good, and therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to support the government in addressing challenges retarding accelerated national growth and development.
