The founder of Perez Chapel International (PCI) Bishop Charles Agyinasare says the New Patriotic Party must resolve its internal crisis since the country cannot afford a weak opposition.
Leading a prayer session for the NPP at the ongoing Supernatural Empowerment Summit at the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu, Bishop Agyinasare said the unity of the NPP was very important.
“As a nation we cannot afford to have a weak opposition. We need a vibrant opposition that can serve as a check on the Government”.
Bishop Agyinasare added that “the unity of the NPP at this time was very important”.
The NPP has been hit by internal party bickering over the last few weeks following the alleged murder of the Upper East regional chairman Adams Mahama.
Several leading members of the party have accused party chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong for the death of Alhaji Mahama.
Flagbearer of the party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday called on members of the party to cease fire and work in unity.
Bishop Agyinasare also led the congregation to pray against any spirit of confusion within the party and prayed for peace and unity for the NPP.
