The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has confirmed that it is working closely with the family of late boxer Ernest “Bahubali” Akushey to conduct a post-mortem following his sudden death.
Bahubali died just days after his defeat to Jacob Dickson in the ring, sparking widespread speculation about the cause of death. But Acting GBA President, Roger Barnor, has urged the public to remain patient until the official findings are released.
“We’re in contact with Bahubali’s family to conduct a post-mortem. The findings will be made known to the public. Any information out there now is just speculation,” Barnor said.
The GBA stressed its commitment to transparency, assuring boxing fans and the general public that the outcome of the examination will be shared once available.
For now, the focus remains on supporting Bahubali’s grieving family while ensuring clarity around the tragic circumstances of his passing.
