The Ghana Actors Guild has urged the film and television industry to give greater care and support to veteran actors during their lifetime, rather than only honouring them after their death.
The guild made the appeal while paying tribute to Grace Nortey, who was buried on Saturday following a funeral service at the State House forecourt in Accra.
In its tribute, the guild described Nortey as part of a pioneering generation whose talent, commitment and resilience helped establish the foundations on which Ghana’s acting industry continues to develop.
