The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has voted to extend its presidential term limit from two to three terms, allowing a president to serve for up to 12 years.
The decision was made during the Association’s 31st Ordinary Congress in Prampram, which brought together delegates from all 124 member bodies to review progress, assess finances, and set the future direction of the sport.
Under the amended statutes, which align with FIFA and Confederation of African Football (CAF) rules, a GFA president can now serve three four-year terms instead of two.
