GETFund completes 10 school projects in Ejisu-Juaben

Ejisu (Ash), Sept. 17, GNA – The government through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), has completed 10 new school blocks in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality at a total cost of GH¢805,872.97. The beneficiary schools include Ejisu R/C primary and Model Kindergarten, Akyawkrom M/A Junior High School (JHS), Baworo M/A primary and Tikrom M/A primary.

The rest are Domeabra M/A JHS, Onwe M/A primary, Atia M/A primary, Krofrom M/A primary and Dumakwai M/A primary. This comes as the government’s makes the effort to end the schools under trees phenomenon due to lack of adequate classrooms. Mr Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah-Ponkor, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), inaugurating the projects at separate ceremonies, said they were determined to create the right conditions for effective teaching and learning.

He encouraged the people to help to ensure that school blocks were kept in good shape at all times. Nana Kofi Nuamah, Benkumhene of Baworo, said they were grateful to the government for the construction of the classroom blocks. 16 Sept. 11
