GET Fund supports Jachie Pramso SHS

Jachie(Ash), Oct. 20, GNA – The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has completed the construction of a three-storey girls’ dormitory block for the Jachie Pramso Senior High School (SHS), in the Ashanti Region, to accommodate more than 600 first year students.

Each storey block is attached with a self-contained apartment, with a balcony to accommodate a housemistress.

Mr Kofi Afriyie Agyemang, an Assistant Headmaster of the school said this, when he led Mr Joseph Kwabena Onyinah, Ashanti Regional Director of Education, to inspect projects in the school on Tuesday. He said GETFund has also provided the school with 250 double metal beds to accommodate 500 first year students. The Assistant Headmaster disclosed that, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), has invested GH¢40, 000 to complete the construction of the first floor of a-two-storey boys’ dormitory block to also accommodate more than 120 first year students.

Mr Onyinah had earlier inspected a-three-storey teacher’s flats being constructed with funds the GETFund to offer living accommodation for nine families in the school.

He also inspected an emergency six-classroom unit block being put up by the government, which is at the lintel level. Mr Onyinah commended Attachy Construction Limited, the constructing company executing the project, for the excellent work done. The Regional Director of Education had earlier inspected facilities at St. Louis Girls S.H.S, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) SHS and Islamic S.H.S, all in Kumasi.
