Nkoranza (B/A), Sept 10, GNA – Mr Michael Kenneth Nsowah, the acting Director General of Ghana Education Service (GES), has appealed to parents to exercise restraint and comply with the computer of selection of students into senior secondary schools.
He said the GES had put in place requirements for the admission of qualified students and parents and guardians should not rush to schools seeking admission for their children and wards. Mr Nsowah was addressing staff of Nkoranza District Directorate of Education on Friday.
He said copies of the final results of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) had been sent to schools to enable headmasters/mistresses to admit qualified students. Mr Nsowah advised parents and guardians to report to the school heads and collect the results of their children and wards and ensure that the slips and passport pictures are stamped and endorsed by the heads before submitting them for admission.
“The GES has adopted other new schools to admit candidates under the new system to ensure that all qualified students are admitted in schools”, he said.
