German organisation trains artisans

Sunyani, Feb. 20, GNA – The German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is facilitating the establishment of industrial zones with reliable access to energy and business development services in some district capitals A statement from the Sunyani office of GTZ/PSED said 10 executives of Ghana National Association of Garages in Asunafo North Municipality were recently given training in environmental management. The participants, comprising artisans and tradesmen representing various categories of the branch association were drawn from Goaso and environs.

The statement said the training course, jointly organised by the assembly and the Business Advisory Centre with sponsorship by the GTZ. The training was also designed to support local entrepreneurs in reducing negative environmental impact, improving occupational health and safety standards and introducing a sustainable site management in the light industrial area in Goaso. 20 Feb 09
