Ga delegation announces the death of Wulomo

Accra, Sept. 5, GNA – A delegation of the Ga Traditional Council on Friday called on President John Agyekum Kufuor at the Castle, Osu, to officially inform him about the death of Na Wulomo, the Spiritual Head of the Ga State, Numo Tettey III, Nii Dodoo Nsaki, Otubluohum Mantse, led the delegation that also included some members of the bereaved family.

The late Chief Priest died at the ripe age of 87 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on March 4, and would be buried on October 14. President Kufuor noted that the Na Wulomo did serve both the Ga State and the nation well and said the Government would therefore be fully represented at his funeral to show solidarity and pay its last respects to him.

“He was a public figure. We stand with the Ga State as it mourns its Spiritual Head.” He paid tribute to the late Numo Tettey, who he said, kept his doors opened to all and carried himself with dignity. Na Wulomo reigned for 24 years.
